Shuttle Driver

Are you looking for a new opportunity? Would you like to drive in the beautiful community of Jasper? PWTransit is currently seeking a full-time Shuttle Driver to join our team.

Responsibilities:

1. Transport passengers safely and according to established policy
2. Maintain radio contact with base and use proper communications protocol
3. Operate the shuttle vehicles in a safe manner in all-weather/road conditions
4. Provide information to and assist passengers in a courteous manner
5. Manage passenger behavior by quickly and effectively solving problems
6. Report vehicle maintenance issues, passenger emergencies, and schedule concerns
7. Conduct pre-and-post trip checks of vehicles prior to/after their use
8. Complete various forms of paperwork, as required
9. Assist with driver coverage by driving the shuttle bus

Requirements:

1. Valid Class 1 or 2Q driver’s license
2. Clear driver's abstract
3. Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check
4. Negative drug and alcohol test
5. Strong knowledge of the Jasper area
6. Physical ability to push/pull wheelchairs up and down a ramp or onto lift
7. Organized, punctual, and reliable
8. Calm, upbeat, and helpful manner
9. Excellent driving skills and habits

Position Details:
Service will operate 7 days per week from the hours of 7:45 am to 9:45 pm. Shifts are primarily mornings and weekend work. The successful candidate will receive 36 - 40 hours per week. Starting at $28.00 per hour and increasing to $30.00 per hour after 3 months. Paid training.
