Responsibilities:

  • Review the majority of French-language versions of the company’s communication documents including press releases, key messages, brochures, the annual ESG report, stakeholder messaging, and various other documents related to quarterly or annual financial reporting (good knowledge of financial terminology and IFRS standards an asset);
  • Periodically translate and/or adapt statements or speeches, titles of presentations or web pages (experience in an advertising agency or marketing department is an asset);
  • Support internal teams in applying French language standards and best practices;
  • Contribute to the uniformity of French language use by promoting best practices and maintaining the internal language bank, including all frequently used aeronautical vocabulary, as well as explanatory documents of Bombardier's brand identity;
  • Manage the relationship with the company’s English-to-French-translation suppliers, creating an audit methodology to periodically evaluate them. Provide, in turn, feedback with a continuous improvement mindset;
  • Support the adherence to corporate organizational culture, strategies, and procedures to connect to the company’s objectives and priorities.

How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience:

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Linguistics/Translation or a related discipline;
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in editing, translation, or a related discipline;
  • You have excellent spoken and written communications skills in French and English;
  • You have a proven ability to work calmly in a fast-paced, complex environment and adapt to changing stakeholder requirements, ambiguous situations, or crises with poise;
  • You have a proven sense of initiative and excellent project management skills and know how to manage multiple priorities at the same time;
  • You can easily overcome obstacles/problems and achieve targets;
  • You can work independently or remotely collaborate in a team setting, including virtual teams;
  • You have the ability to build and maintain relationships while influencing peers;
  • You possess Microsoft Office and web skills.
