We are looking for an organized and proactive Education Manager to join our Product team. The Education Manager oversees the design, development and execution of Circuit Stream’s courses and programs, ensuring that our learning experiences are well-structured, engaging, and impactful. This role bridges the gap between curriculum development and course operations, ensuring high-quality learning experiences through strong curriculum design, instructor management, and program execution. This role reports to the Director of Product.
Note: This role will be based full-time (5 days per week) in our Circuit Stream office, 1011, 1st Street SW.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Execution & Delivery
- Set instructional standards and ensure instructors effectively implement curriculum and adhere to best practices in teaching and engagement.
- Develop and track key success metrics to measure course effectiveness, instructional quality, and instructor performance, ensuring alignment with pedagogical goals and enhancing engagement.
- Ensure feedback loops are in place to optimize curriculum delivery, instructional methodologies, and learning outcomes.
- Leverage insights from the CX team on student engagement and the Education Program Coordinator on instructor performance to refine curriculum, teaching strategies, and instructional delivery.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of courses to ensure smooth execution and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Manage relationships with instructors, serving as their primary point of contact.
- Train new instructors and provide ongoing professional development for current instructors.
- Plan schedules for courses and camps, ensuring classrooms, instructors, and tools are ready.
- Set up all necessary systems and access, including Zoho Mail, Brightspace, Google Drive, Zoom, Slack, Discord, and other essential tools.
- Collaborate with People and Culture to identify hiring needs, define role requirements, and participate in the interview process for instructional staff.
- Define and continuously refine Circuit Stream’s educational pedagogy and learning methodologies, ensuring they effectively meet learner needs and drive strong learning outcomes.
- Establish and oversee planning, timelines, and resource allocation for curriculum projects to ensure timely and high-quality execution.
- Manage D2L and curriculum roadmap, and ensure any updates and revisions are informed by industry changes, student outcomes, instructor feedback, and engagement data, driving continuous improvement.
- Act as a leader in instructional design, providing guidance on content development and instructional methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Manage a scalable system to integrate contractual Instructional Designers and SMEs as content needs expand.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Admissions, Student Services, and Instruction teams to communicate new course content and changes to existing programs.
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor or Masters Degree in education preferred, or combination of related degree and experience.
- At least 5-7 years experience in instructional design, project management and course administration and delivery.
- Previous teaching experience is required.
- Expertise in the best practices and teaching methodologies for adult and youth education.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to hire, train and manage a variety of part-time contractors (instructional designer, course SME consultants, and instructors).
- Previous experience as an administrator of learning platforms (experience with Brightspace is a plus).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
- Comfortable with occasional travel in Canada if instructor training is planned in-person.
- Annual salary in the range of $75,000 to $85,000 per year.
