Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

We are searching for a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our rapidly growing team in Burnaby, BC. You’ll use your skills to perform maintenance tasks as well as minor repairs on equipment in a safe and professional manner. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel engines and generator equipment.

What you’ll do :

1. Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools.
2. Responsible for service documentation.
3. Occasional travel to customer sites.
4. Demonstrate equipment for customers.
5. Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
6. Other duties assigned as needed.

Requirements :

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. 3-5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
3. Intermediate to advanced diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systems.
4. Strong mechanical background knowledge particularly with various engines.
5. Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
6. Own the tools applicable to position.
7. Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal / written communication skills.
8. Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
9. Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Compensation and Benefits:

1. Pay: Up to $45 CAD / hour based on experience. Some flexibility for the right candidate!
