Wound Care Nurse

Job Summary

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Wound Care Nurse ready to make a difference in clients' lives? Join our expanding and dynamic team as our Wound Care Nurse in our state-of-the-art Integrated Care Clinic and play a vital role in our patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide attentive nursing care to patients.
2. Assist in patient assessments, treatments, and procedures.
3. Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, ensuring adherence to medical standards and protocols.
4. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic patient care.
5. Offer comprehensive patient education and support for a positive healthcare experience.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Hold a valid nursing license in good standing with the appropriate regulatory body (CNO).
2. Clear Vulnerable Sector Cheque valid within the year.
3. Valid CPR Certification valid within the year.
4. Wound Care Certification is essential.
5. Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Excel in a collaborative and fast-paced healthcare environment.
7. Strong understanding of medical protocols and best practices.
8. Step 1 and 2 TB Testing valid within two years.
9. NSWOC and SWAN Certification.
10. Proven experience in the wound care nursing field.
11. Experience with electronic medical records.
12. Knowledge of wound care best practices and the latest advancements in the field.
13. Familiarity with wound care equipment and technologies.
14. Ability to maintain and update patient records.
15. Knowledge of medical terminology.
16. Advanced knowledge of MS Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) is an asset.
17. Experience in Alayacare Program is an asset.
18. Experience in TELUS CHR EMR is an asset.
19. French speaking is an asset.

Job Types: Full-time

Salary: Starting at $35.00 per hour

Work Schedule:

1. Work around operational hours (0700-2100).
2. Day shift.
3. Evening shift.
4. Monday to Friday.
5. Weekends are required.
