Production Worker/Machine Operator

Valley Wood, located just East of Vernon, near Lumby, produces a wide variety of finished wood products including planters, trellises, fencing components, as well as boards, siding, and paneling.

We are currently expanding our Planer division and are looking for lumber pilers, machine operators, and graders. Positions are entry level. Training provided. Full time. Wage increase after a short probation period. Benefits included.

Applicants should be able to work safely while focused on quality in a fast-paced, teamwork environment. First aid certification would be a definite asset.

As a Lumber Piler - Production Worker, you will be a vital part of our manufacturing team, utilizing your core skills in mechanical knowledge, manufacturing, and assembly to ensure efficient production processes. Additionally, your relevant skills in using hand tools, warehouse experience, and power tools will contribute to maintaining a well-organized and productive work environment. Responsibilities

1. Stack lumber according to specifications in a safe and efficient manner.
2. Use hand tools and power tools to assist in the production process.
3. Assist with assembly tasks as needed.
4. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
5. Follow manufacturing procedures and safety guidelines at all times.

Qualifications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50-$20.00 per hour
