Are you a member of the Indigenous community looking to step into the Oil Sands business? If you have a strong safety mindset and an interest in operating equipment, come join our mining team as a Heavy Equipment Operator! If you have no background or experience, no worries – we will support you to get just that!
If you are chosen for an interview, please come prepared to discuss why a career in Heavy Equipment Operating is for you! Tuition costs are covered, but candidates will not be paid while attending classroom training at Keyano. Upon successful completion of training, candidates may commence a paid, up to 6-month coop at Suncor Base Plant Mine or Syncrude Mildred Lake or Syncrude Aurora Mine. Placements will be determined by the business.
Suncor's operations include oil sands development, production and upgrading; offshore oil and gas; petroleum refining in Canada and the U.S.; and the company's Petro-Canada retail and wholesale distribution networks (including Canada's Electric Highway, a coast-to-coast network of fast-charging electric vehicle stations). Suncor is developing petroleum resources while advancing the transition to a low-emissions future through investment in power, renewable fuels and hydrogen.
