Job description

The finance department assumes responsibility for managing and reporting the organization’s finances. It is committed to continuous improvements in the way it organizes the financial and accounting affairs, including the preparation and presentation of appropriate accounts, and the provision of financial information for executives.

The primary function of this position is to provide support to Finance in the areas of closing and reporting, budgeting and forecasting including month-end analysis, P&L reporting to Business Unit (BU) leaders, KPI reporting, and preparation of financial data for the Executive and Corporate packages. Additional responsibilities include developing and maintaining moderate to complex financial data models using advanced Excel skills, and creation of reports to assist in ongoing analysis and dissemination of information.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare budget, forecast, and long-term projections to ensure the organization meets its financial targets.
  2. Generate monthly financial analysis, KPI, scorecard, and reports for BU and cost centers.
  3. Participate in month-end closing process and prepare variance analysis in consultation with budget owners.
  4. Conduct financial analysis, trend analysis, gathering & maintaining of data for dissemination to the budget owners as required.
  5. Support BU leader and budget owners with forecasting and facilitating alignment between cross-functional areas.
  6. Develop and maintain moderately-complex modeling and data analysis for corporate and departmental use, including testing and validation of data assumptions & approach and pricing to customers.
  7. Support budget owners or executive sponsors in creating required financial analysis.
  8. Collect feedback from the users of the forecasting & make recommendations accordingly.
  9. Support stakeholders and perform financial models’ sensitivity analysis for BU leaders or budget owners.
  10. Conduct special projects as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications:

  1. College diploma or undergrad degree in finance or accounting.
  2. Have an accounting designation (CPA, CMA/CPA, CGA) or actively pursuing one.
  3. 5 years of financial analyst experience, with solid technical and analytical skills.

Computer or Other Skills:

  1. Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, WebEx, etc.).
  2. Essbase / Hyperion.
  3. ERP experience (D365 preferred).

  3. Superior communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  4. Flexible and adaptable to handle diverse responsibilities.
  5. Able to work independently and within a team.
  6. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  7. Auditing, proofreading, focused listening, extended period of monitoring a visual display.
  8. Knowledge of the healthcare industry is preferred.
