Business Development Manager

Job Overview

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities, develop relationships with potential clients, and expand our customer base in the precision manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC machining and the ability to adapt to emerging technologies in the field.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to attract new clients and expand business with existing ones.
2. Identify and pursue new market opportunities within the precision manufacturing industry.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target companies.
4. Collaborate with the production team to understand our current and potential future capabilities, communicating them effectively to prospective clients.
5. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
6. Negotiate contracts and close deals.
7. Attend industry trade shows and networking events to promote our services.
8. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform business strategy.
9. Work closely with management to set and achieve sales targets.
10. Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipelines, and forecasts.
11. Stay informed about advancements in CNC technology and identify potential areas for company expansion.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the precision manufacturing or CNC machining industry.
3. Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, with particular knowledge of lathe and milling operations.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
6. Ability to understand technical specifications and translate them into value propositions for clients.
7. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
8. Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience with various CNC operations beyond lathe and milling.
2. Knowledge of CAD/CAM software.
3. Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).

Salary Range: Base Salary $70k
