The role of Customer Service Representative is a fantastic opportunity for you to launch a new career and learn more about the financial services and insurance sector. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first line of contact between DXC and our clients in a call center environment (hours from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM) providing exceptional customer service.

Essential Job Functions

  • Answer telephones and respond to complex customer questions and/or forward calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Research customer inquiries and respond to appropriate parties in a timely manner.
  • Record calls, process requests, and update account history with results of inquiries to include proper documentation.
  • Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail for multiple clients in accordance with established service level agreements.
  • Perform data entry and match documents to appropriate accounts to verify up-to-date and accurate information.
  • Interface with team personnel, management, and customers regarding customer service issues.
  • Review client reports on a weekly basis to ensure data integrity; prepare and submit reports to management.
  • Review and recommend modifications to procedures and workflow as necessary to ensure efficient and effective processing of transactions.
  • Monitor daily transactions to ensure policies and procedures are in accordance with service level agreements.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Two years or more of customer service or other telephone experience.
  • Experience working with organizational functions and personnel.
  • Experience working with fax machines, computer software, and telephone technology.
  • Experience working with and skilled in the use of help desk software.

Other Qualifications

  • Business and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions.

Work Environment

  • Office environment.
  • May require shift work.
