Van Driver - Adult Day Health

We are hiring a part time 21+ hours per week Van Driver to transport our clients for our Adult Day Health program in Mashpee. This position is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday split shift, 6:30 - 9:30am and 1:00 - 5:00pm.

The Adult Day Health Program is a medically-based program that helps the participant remain independent while promoting good health and well being.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Transport program participants according to established safety rules and road regulations, set by D.O.T.
2. Secure and maintain all required safety equipment in the vehicle.
3. Follow the Vehicle Maintenance Protocol and keep the Transportation Coordinator informed of all service needs.
4. Report any problems or maintenance concerns to the Transportation Coordinator.
5. Keep exterior and interior of vans clean and free of potentially hazardous materials.
6. Assist at sites as needed.
7. Maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
8. Ensure that all passengers have secured seat belts at all times. Ensure wheelchairs are secure with tie downs at all times according to DOT regulations.
9. Maintain a daily transportation log.
10. Complete a Daily Pre and Post Trip Inspection Form.
11. Will drive para van as needed to ensure transportation needs are met.
12. Ensure that the Daily Passenger Log is complete, signed and turned into the Site.

Education and Experience:

1. Experience with either elders or disabled adults preferred.
2. Must possess an ability to work with others as part of a team and communicate effectively.
3. Must have the ability to physically assist program participants as they enter and exit the vehicle according to established safety rules and road regulations.
4. Must maintain a valid drivers license with good driving record.

Must be able to successfully complete a MA State CORI check, CPS check and company paid, pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol testing and be enrolled in our drug and alcohol testing consortium.
