Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Team Lead to join the Legrand Team in Reno, NV.

Role:

The Warehouse Team Lead will lead a team to perform general warehouse duties. This position will oversee general warehouse operations and lead the day-to-day Kitting process, perform advanced and complex tasks as well as share expertise in all warehouse operations serving as a mentor to other Material Handlers. This position will ensure that all assigned duties are performed quickly, efficiently, and according to the established departmental and company policies, procedures, and goals.

The Warehouse Team Lead, as with all Legrand employees, is expected to promote a positive attitude, demonstrate initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, integrity, and exercise confidentiality.

What Will You Do?

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure picking accuracy by following proper techniques and helping employees; deliver kits to production in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Follow proper procedures for storage and handling of inventory; label and identify materials; consolidate storage locations; put away inventory released from Quality Inspection.
  • Complete related paperwork and reports in an accurate and timely manner, utilizing computer software and general office procedures.
  • Pull inventory requests when needed; issue/transfer inventory in system as necessary; deliver materials to the appropriate person/location.
  • Put away inventory released from Quality Inspection and Receiving, stock KANBAN daily.
  • Assist in cycle counts to ensure accuracy of product inventory in accordance with department standards.
  • Maintain and provide support for compliance with all ISO regulations and procedures.
  • Promote a safe, clean and organized work environment. Ensure that the shipping employees are filling out their 5S sheets daily.
  • Ensure correct use of equipment throughout warehouse environment. Report repairs or safety concerns to management. Ensure that all shipping employees are using the appropriate PPE.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Education:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) supplemented by college-level coursework, preferred; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of three years warehouse and inventory control experience.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups or employees of the Company.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook).
  • Ability to file and create documents for exporting finished goods.
  • Ability to use SAP software.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9000 standards and audit process.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Work environment is fast-paced, and priorities can shift quickly. All employees are expected to go outside their primary responsibilities when required and multi-task job duties on a regular basis. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
