Responsibilities


As a Pharmacist / Pharmacy Manager in a rural or remote setting, you will play a key role in supporting both the healthcare team and the local community. Your duties will typically include:


  1. Overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy, including inventory management, prescription dispensing, and patient consultations
  2. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and providing professional advice to patients
  3. Collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy management
  4. Leading a small team of pharmacy staff, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure high-quality service
  5. Building relationships with patients and providing personalized care that improves their health outcomes
  6. Offering support for community health initiatives and promoting preventive care
  7. Handling administrative tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and managing financials
  8. Promoting and educating the community on health services, medications, and lifestyle choices
  9. Other duties that are company / pharmacy specific which we can discuss with you on a case-by-case basis

Qualifications


To be considered for current and future opportunities, you must meet the following requirements:


  1. Licensed Pharmacist in Canada, in good standing with a provincial regulatory authority
  2. Open to relocating to a rural or remote location for a minimum of 12 months (or longer if the right offer is made)
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team
  4. Experience in pharmacy practice is an asset, but new graduates are also encouraged to apply
  5. Flexibility and willingness to adapt to a variety of challenges associated with working in rural and remote communities
  6. Passion for helping underserved populations and contributing to local healthcare
  7. Legally eligible to work full-time hours in Canada
