Key Responsibilities
Be the primary contact point for Engineering, Operations and Quality for product and manufacturing support, championing continuous improvement efforts and troubleshooting design/manufacturing issues
Work closely with Production and Quality personnel to continually receive product feedback, improve cross-department processes, procedures, and communication.
Balance a workload of multiple projects while maintaining deadline, quality, and budget commitments
Develop extensive knowledge of product line, preferred practices, and all applicable industry standards
Review drawing packages and designs to ensure best practices that promote DFM and lean manufacturing
Lead ECR/ECN procedures by coordinating and recording changes, reporting trends and recommending improvements to designs and procedures
Ensure all in process modifications or revisions to equipment during manufacture are captured, documented, and communicated to the engineering department
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Post-secondary education in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Must have 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Proficient in reading, understanding, and creating engineering prints for machining, welding and assembly
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MS Office
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Project management and PFMEA experience an asset
Fabrication and machining experience an asset
LEAN training an asset
