The School of Nursing at Cape Breton University (CBU) invites applications for a 1 (one) Year Limited Term Faculty position as Assistant Professor (or Lecturer) in the department of Foundational Nursing. This position will commence May 1, 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter. We are looking to continue to build upon our talent in our expanding Nursing programs and are searching for a talented individual who has a real passion for making an impact in their field.
CBU recognizes its location on Cape Breton Island as part of Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. The department of nursing is seeking progressive, energetic candidates with a commitment to excellence in concept-based nursing practice education. The primary position responsibility will be to instruct, supervise, and evaluate nursing students in a variety of nursing practice settings including acute care, long term care, community, as well as on-campus nursing simulation, and/or laboratory instruction.
