Mechanical Engineer

Located in Ballarat, our high-volume, high-speed aluminium can end manufacturing plant serves the Australian and New Zealand beverage markets. The Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in supporting daily production operations and analysing plant and machine reliability. They will identify performance issues, provide recommendations to enhance process efficiency, and improve overall machine reliability. Additionally, where required, they may be involved in project work at the site.

1. Analyse production performance and machine reliability to identify areas for improvement
2. Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot issues and determine root causes
3. Recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance machine reliability
4. Support daily plant operations and help to implement best practice across all lines
5. Drive continuous improvement
6. Promote a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace

1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering
2. 3+ years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
3. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes with the ability to identify and implement process improvements
4. Excellent communication and influencing skills, effectively engaging with both production staff and site leadership
5. Proactive and results-driven
