Intermediate Architect/Technologist

We are seeking a talented and motivated Intermediate Architect/Technologist to join our Vancouver office. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a passion for design, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

1. Design Development:
   1. Assist in developing design concepts and schematic design.
   2. Prepare construction drawings and specifications.
   3. Coordinate with consultants and contractors.
2. Technical Design:
   1. Develop detailed design solutions for building systems, including structure, MEP, and envelope.
   2. Ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and client requirements.
   3. Review shop drawings and submittals.
3. Project Coordination:
   1. Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of design documents.
   2. Manage project schedules and deadlines.
   3. Assist in project administration tasks, such as document control and meeting minutes.

Must Haves:

1. Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology.
2. 5+ years of experience in residential and commercial design, with a focus on mid-rise and high-rise projects.
3. Strong technical skills, including proficiency in ArchiCad and other design software.
4. Understanding of building codes, standards, and construction methods.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-Haves:

1. Experience with wood frame construction.
2. Proficiency in 3D modelling and visualization software (e.g., SketchUp, Enscape, Lumion).
3. Knowledge of sustainable design principles and LEED certification.

Remote/Hybrid/In Office

Salary: $75-85k
