Role: Full Stack Developer
Location: Hybrid (Minimum 2 days per week in Halifax office)
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 (flexible depending on experience)
Holidays: 30 days including bank holidays + birthday off

A growing digital-first organisation is looking for a skilled Full Stack Developer to enhance its technology capabilities. This company focuses on transparency, customer empowerment, and innovative digital solutions.
Role Overview
The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer with experience in both front-end and back-end development. You should be self-motivated, comfortable working independently, and thrive in a small business/startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage bug fixes and change requests.
- Assist with process mapping, system diagram creation, and documentation.
- Take ownership of specific projects and new product developments.
- Contribute to the design, build, and testing of new features.
- Develop and maintain APIs, integrations, and customer-facing applications.
- Ensure secure development practices, automated testing, and version releases.
- Maintain and enhance InfoSec and technology compliance standards.
- Support CRM, Customer Portal updates, and external integrations.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in full stack development (front-end & back-end technologies).
- Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a startup/small business environment.
- Strong documentation skills (system architecture, data flows, process mapping).
- Experience in SaaS development (build, deploy, maintain).
- Strong API development & maintenance skills.
- Secure development experience (automated testing, version releases, patch notes).
- Understanding of App development & maintenance.
- Knowledge of InfoSec & technology compliance (risk management, hosting client audits, policy testing).
Desirable (But Not Essential) Skills
- Exposure to AI automation projects.
- Experience with CRM and Customer Portal development.
- Background in fin-tech or other regulated industries.
Role Progression & Milestones
- 3 months: Independently working through bugs and change requests, contributing to process mapping.
- 6 months: Taking ownership of projects, supporting integrations and CRM enhancements.
- 12 months: Leading key technology initiatives (App development, SaaS expansion, AI automation), with potential progression into a senior role.
