Brief Job Description

FSMCI is currently seeking an individual for a full-time position as a Human Resource Coordinator.

FSMCI is a licensed, full service elevator consulting firm that specializes in all aspects in management of elevating devices. With over 250 years of collective elevator and escalator experience on our team, coupled with a growing portfolio of over 900 buildings and 2,000 elevating devices, FSMCI prides itself on working with a prestigious client base that includes some of the most renowned management companies in the industry.

Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  2. Prepare offer letters and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth integration into the company.
  3. Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  4. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting open communication and collaboration.
  5. Maintain and update employee records, including personal information, contracts, and performance evaluations.
  6. Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and company policies.
  7. Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating employee development programs.
  8. Support the implementation of performance management systems as it relates to applicable departments and personnel.
  9. Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and labour regulations.
  10. Update and enforce company policies, procedures, and employee handbook as needed.
  11. Collaborate on HR initiatives, such as employee engagement surveys and wellness programs.
  12. Support organizational development strategies to enhance productivity and retention.
  13. Schedule, lead and document recurring Health and Safety Committee meetings, acting as the primary liaison between the committee, internal stakeholders, and external regulatory bodies, as well as preparing agendas, recording minutes, and tracking action items to ensure timely implementation and follow-up.
  14. Coordinate and manage travel and lodging arrangements for staff, ensuring efficiency, budget, compliance, and alignment with schedules.
  15. Assist in various business development and finance-related tasks as required.
  16. Other responsibilities and/or duties as required.

Job Requirements

  1. Competency using MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with discretion and confidentiality.
  3. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  4. Excellent communication skills in English is required.
  5. Bilingual in French is not required but is considered an asset.
  6. Ability to work independently, remotely from home, and in a virtual team environment when required.
  7. Positive attitude with a keen interest for learning, improvement, and individual growth.
  8. Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills with a keen attention to detail.
  9. Previous experience in property management industry is not required but considered an asset.
  10. 2+ years of experience in an HR role, preferably within a technical or consulting environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,340.98-$66,528.51 per year
