Reporting directly to the Chief Card Services Officer, the Vice President, Credit Card Portfolio Management is responsible for delivering targeted growth on the MasterCard and all credit card portfolios, as well as for the strategies, development, and execution.
Responsibilities:- Achievement of growth targets and profitability threshold on all credit card portfolios.
- Fostering strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring efficient operations, success, balanced and efficient omni-channel acquisition growth, and partner satisfaction (current and new).
- Seizing and developing new credit card opportunities.
- Keeping a network and knowledge of the current credit card market, trends, performances, and competitors.
- Leading a team of Directors and other professionals focused on optimizing results (volume and profitability) from existing and new partners.
- Developing strategies in an omni-channel acquisition environment with different key partners for all MasterCard products, staying abreast of innovative acquisition solutions, and influencing alternate solutions to profitably accelerate acquisitions growth while ensuring compliant sales practices and proactively mitigating risk.
Accountabilities:- Position that deals with senior levels (CEO, CFO, and senior executives).
- Responsible for driving the overall credit card sales and receivables of billions of dollars.
- Major focus on growth and profitability of the credit card business line.
- Decisions taken have a major impact on overall corporate results.
- Owns and is responsible for the pricing offers and profitability of every key account and the credit card product line.
- Responsible for an important budget for the cards business line.
- Leading and acting as a voting member in management and executive committees with key partners.
- Outstanding relationship management skills with the ability to thrive in a highly matrixed company structure.
- Strong cross-functional leadership, partnership, and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to influence and make decisions.
- Effectively managing multiple complex initiatives and deliverables simultaneously while being proactive, action-oriented, and results-driven with the ability to prioritize in an ever-changing environment.

- Keeping updated on market and competitive acquisition activities and solutions in the industry.
- Motivating the management team to achieve objectives by conducting performance appraisals and providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
Job Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in business administration and MBA.
- Ten (10) years of experience in sales and business development.
- Experience in the credit card industry (VISA, MasterCard).
- Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience leading a senior team.
- Previous experience successfully leading acquisition strategy and execution in a credit card issuing environment is necessary; experience with major retail partnerships, co-brand retail card issuance, or retail operations is also necessary.
