The Faculty of Business Administration is committed to excellence and relevance in its teaching, research, and community engagement. Applications are invited for a tenure-track faculty position in Business Analytics at the rank of assistant or associate professor with a proposed commencement date of July 1, 2025. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position is subject to budgetary approval.

Responsibilities:

  1. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in business analytics and related areas.
  2. Conduct high-quality and impactful research in business analytics.
  3. Supervise students in the faculty’s M.Sc. or PhD programs.
  4. Contribute to service activities at the faculty or university level appropriate to experience and rank.

Qualifications:

  1. PhD or DBA in a relevant field (or near completion).
  2. Demonstrated research productivity or potential in business analytics.
  3. Strong analytical, quantitative, and data management skills.
  4. Expertise in areas such as machine learning, predictive analytics, data visualization, etc.
  5. Commitment to innovative course delivery and experiential learning is an advantage.

If the successful candidate has not completed an earned doctorate, they shall be appointed to a regular term, non-renewable three-year appointment at the rank of assistant professor. If the candidate completes all the requirements for the doctorate during the first 24 months of the term appointment, they shall begin a tenure-track appointment following completion of the requirements of the degree.

The Faculty of Business Administration is a leader in management education and is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Approximately 2,100 students are registered in the undergraduate programs of the Faculty, with another 200 students completing graduate programs, including a PhD, an MBA, an MBA in Social Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, and an MSc in Management.

The position is based on-site at the St. John’s campus of Memorial University of Newfoundland and requires in-person presence. It is not a remote position.
