The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager to elevate our team and drive our luxury brand to new heights. This instrumental role demands a strategic visionary with a refined understanding of high-end sales dynamics and cutting-edge marketing methodologies. As a leader at Genuwine Cellars, you will spearhead our Sales and Marketing initiatives, infusing your expertise into every facet of our business. This position is located at our head office in Winnipeg, MB.

You will be responsible for leading the Sales and Marketing team and applying your refined skills to areas such as digital marketing, SEO optimization, and lead generation. Additionally, the Sales Manager will analyze sales performance data to create effective sales strategies that build on the company’s world-class reputation. The ideal candidate will combine their strategic-thinking skills and solution-driven mind with their excellent “people skills” to be successful in this dynamic and exciting role!

Primary Job Responsibilities

Leadership and Business Development:

  • Guide and inspire the Sales and Marketing teams, fostering an environment of innovation and excellence.
  • Mentor and develop team members to align with our high standards and strategic objectives, encouraging innovative solutions.
  • Implement and refine processes/systems to drive success and ensure adherence to our luxury brand’s principles.
  • Collaborate with senior management to define and achieve growth objectives, enhancing our global reputation.
  • Provide support to senior management to grow their knowledge/skills in regard to sales and business development.

Strategic Planning and Data Analysis:

  • Conduct sophisticated market research to craft and execute groundbreaking marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility, drive elite clientele engagement, and increase projects sold.
  • Identify and leverage market opportunities to expand our luxury offerings and explore new avenues for growth.
  • Oversee digital presence, including website and social media platforms, ensuring impeccable representation of our brand.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to refine strategies and optimize sales outcomes.
  • Oversee the activities of the Digital Marketing Specialists working on SEO optimization, content creation, and more.
  • Consolidate data and report on findings in regular management meetings.
  • Plan, organize, and attend sales trips to tradeshows and other industry events.

Brand and Content Management:

  • Lead the development and execution of high-impact marketing content, from SEO-rich articles to engaging visual media.
  • Drive email marketing campaigns designed to cultivate and convert leads while nurturing client loyalty.
  • Maintain the highest standards for website content, ensuring accuracy and allure in all digital representations of our brand.
  • Coordinate with external agencies to enhance digital marketing efforts and oversee creative projects such as photoshoots.
  • Manage and train others on customer relations management (CRM) software, seek opportunities for innovation and improvement in the systems we use.
  • Collaborate with other teams in the company to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with business objectives.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging digital marketing techniques, and overall economic climate.

Qualifications and Key Competencies

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in luxury sales and marketing management, with a deep understanding of digital marketing, SEO, and market research.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team with a track record of achieving and surpassing sales targets.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building and nurturing relationships at all levels.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools (Web analytics, Google Adwords, etc.), e-commerce platforms (Shopify), Microsoft Office, and CRM systems.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable and flexible to change, approaches problem-solving with creativity and efficiency.
  • A well-organized and highly motivated self-starter.
