The Vice President, OEM and Strategic Partnerships reports to the President and is responsible for the Sym-Tech’s OEM and Partner Programs as well as developing new OEM and Partner business. This position is responsible for the achievement of all OEM/Partner business objectives through exceptional sales and client service.
Responsibilities:
Builds sales pipeline of new OEM and Strategic Partner opportunities.
Develops and leads strategy, presentations and/or RFP submissions for new and existing opportunities that position Sym-Tech as the proven choice.
Able to clearly articulate Sym-Tech’s advantages versus key competitors.
Leads contract negotiations with clients with a “Win-Win” philosophy.
Identifies and champions new internal capabilities that will provide Sym-Tech with strategic differentiation from key competitors and add value to clients.
Identifies priorities for growth and efficiency through internal and client collaboration.
Ensures strong teamwork between all client and Sym-Tech functional areas.
Pro-actively anticipates and resolves any program issues in a timely manner.
Represents Sym-Tech at a senior level with OEM and strategic partner clients.
Seeks and secures industry opportunities (e.g., speaking engagements, sponsorships, trade articles) that enhance Sym-Tech OEM credibility and leading edge capabilities.
Education / Experience:
Undergraduate Degree, MBA Preferred.
15+ years of Canadian national automotive account management experience, or comparable experience with an Automotive OEM, Automotive Financial Services Captive, Automotive protection program (F&I) provider, Automotive OEM or Financial Services provider.
Knowledge / Competencies:
Understanding of Automotive OEM culture, processes and dealer relationships
High level of credibility/respect amongst Automotive Industry senior executives.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills in a collaborative environment
Effective presentation skills - capable of communicating effortlessly with senior management, external vendors, industry and dealer audiences
Results focused - strong “Close the Deal” skillset
Superior analytical skills
Proficient computer skills - MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Smartsheet
English fluency / French an asset
Travel Requirements ~20%
