Summary:
Responsible for sales and product management of HVAC product categories in the Canadian market including ductless, PTAC, TTW, and CAC while reporting to the HVAC Channel Development team and Sales Director. Core focus areas include sales, product management, product positioning, market strategies, product planning and line-up, pricing and channel management, customer relationships, forecasting, and key metrics attainment.
He/she will be expected to lead HVAC product and channel development working in tandem with R&D and factory to build a leading market share position in the segment and Sales management of new businesses from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- Be the segment expert and knowledge source of industry trends, regulatory issues, competition moves, pricing, and other marketing intelligence/analysis; analyze and share customer insights and market requirements across HVAC categories.
- Achieving targeted revenues, price, and quantity, managing expense ratios and product mix while maintaining healthy inventory levels.
- Develop and get cross-functional alignment on the business plan for the category; execute Canadian specific category strategies and plans.
- Align product planning across the matrix with R&D, design, and quality; identify opportunities for potential NPD; develop local line-up logic, product positioning, and price strategies.
- Coordinate with HQ and R&D the necessary technical and product requirements for the Canada market. Meets assigned targets for profitable sales and strategic objectives.
- Forecast and track key account metrics. Establish productive, professional relationships with key contacts at accounts building long-term relationships.
- Develop and implement long-term sales strategy to grow sales and drive profitability. Must regularly meet with all stakeholders to identify long-term and short-term needs and develop a plan to deliver key metrics. Must stay abreast of industry trends to understand account needs and positioning.
- Coordinates the involvement of company team members, including support, service, and management resources, to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field is required, MBA a plus.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of working experience in HVAC sales and/or marketing, and product development.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- HVAC industry experience is required (i.e., Fujitsu, Mitsubishi, Daikin, Johnson Controls, Carrier, GE, Amana, Friedrich).
- Occasional International Travel (<15% of time), frequent Domestic travel (<25% of time).
