Engineering Technologist Summer Student

Job Summary
Manpower has a fantastic opportunity for Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technologist Summer Student to fulfill a 4-month position located in Stayner, ON. In this hands-on role, you'll apply your education and experience, spending 50 - 70% of your time on the production floor.

This job offers:

• Day Shift (7:30am - 4:00pm) Mon - Fri
• 40 hours per week
• $20.00 - $25.00/hour starting wage
• 4-month summer contract
• Collaborate with top industry professionals

Duties:

• Cycle time studies in production and other operational areas
• Process layout reviews/updating drawings
• Efficiency identification for current processes
• Researching basic automation equipment (ie: auto feeders for packaging, box makers)
• Executing simple project tasks with the process engineer/maintenance (room cleaning, taping floors)
• Support with creation of training matrices for operators/team leaders
• Create training binders, sign-off sheets, etc.
• Depending on timing, support SAP work instruction creation

Requirements:

• 1st, 2nd or 3rd year student (NOT graduate) from a Mechanical or Engineering Technologist program
• Own transportation and driver's license (preferred)
• Must be on a scheduled summer break and returning September 2025 for studies
• Exceptional oral communication skills, advanced written communication skills
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Office
• Able to clear criminal records check
