Education:
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.

Experience:
1 year to less than 2 years.

On site:
Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities

1. Assess the children’s development in order to prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs.
2. Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
3. Synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate the information to the parents.
4. Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
5. Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest.
6. Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records.
7. Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts.
8. Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor.

Credentials:
Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.

Area of specialization:
Pre-school education.
