Your future role on our teamBBA is a well-established private Canadian firm providing specialized engineering services in the natural resources industry, including iron ore processing. We’re currently seeking a senior engineer with extensive expertise in iron ore processing. The specific sectors of expertise we’re seeking include magnetic processes (low and high intensity), gravity separation (hydroclassifiers and spirals), concentrate drying and dewatering, flotation for the production of high purity concentrates, bulk concentrate management, pelletizing, direct reduction processes, and operational experience. With us, you’ll get the opportunity to...- Provide metallurgical expertise for all aspects of projects and studies, including EPCM projects.
- Serve as a discipline lead for studies and supervise the work of junior and intermediate engineers.
- Lead metallurgical tests and guide clients in developing their projects.
- Perform due diligence audits and manage preliminary economic, prefeasibility, and feasibility studies within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Promote BBA expertise in the iron ore processing industry.
- Liaise with clients on technical matters and professionally present reports, publications, and briefings.
- Design and simulate mineralogical processes.
- Examine and approve mass balances, process design criteria, PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, and technical specifications.
- Lead and participate in market analyses for local and worldwide iron ore projects.
- Prepare, review, and approve professional qualifications, expressions of interest, as well as proposals and service offerings.
- Take on various interdisciplinary technical challenges to ensure factory acceptance tests and the implementation of optimization solutions for processes are performed on time, safely, and cost-effectively.
- Review, analyze, or develop PFDs, P&IDs, technical specifications and evaluations, material land energy balances, and process design and operating parameters.
- Assess, select, and commission new technology to improve the sustainability, efficiency, and profitability of client operations.

Overview Of Certifications And Job Requirements- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in mineral processing, metallurgy, chemical engineering, or mining.
- At least 15 years of experience in mineral processing operations.
- Strong track record of successfully completing projects in the mining and metals industry.
- Qualified person as per CIM standards.
- Ability to travel frequently across Canada and abroad (> 25 %).
- Canadian Professional engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligible to obtain.
- Bilingual (English and French).
An Overview Of BBA’s Total Reward- Annual base salary, based on 37.5 hours weekly, between $150,000 to $205,000.
