Job Title: Labourer

Department: Shop

Location: 3303 84 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6P 1K1, Canada

Reports To: Shop Foreman

General Description

Position Summary:

The Labourer’s objective is to follow direction from the Shop Foreman while ensuring they are adhering to the Company’s safety, production, and quality control goals.

Position Functions:

1. Identify and pick rebar from the warehouse to fill orders.
2. Use various machines (after training), including overhead cranes, saws for cutting, rebar benders, and shears.
3. Feed and unload shear and bender machines.
4. Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties.
5. Maintain a clean and safe work area and equipment used.
6. Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment while maintaining a positive and calm demeanor.
2. Experience in manufacturing or a related field.
3. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
4. Ability to lift 23kg (50lbs).
5. Basic mathematical skills and ability to use a tape measure.
