Job Summary: CF Industries is currently seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to temporarily join our IT Department, located at our Medicine Hat Complex. Reporting to the Supervisor, IT the Desktop Support Specialist is responsible for providing first and second level hardware and software support to all Local Area Network (Desktop Computer) users.

Job Description:

What you’ll do:

• Demonstrate leadership and contribute positively to the facility safety culture through active, positive participation in EHS safety programs and initiatives.
• Provides first and second tier Help Desk support for complex systems. Supports users/user groups on all aspects of user reported problems including software, hardware, and peripheral equipment such as printers, scanners and copiers.
• Provides primary desktop Hardware and software configuration and repair services by troubleshooting hardware and software problems, installing hardware and software. Coordinates the creation and maintenance of image files and loads during new machine deployments and reissues.
• Provides network administration and support services including the creation and maintenance of network user accounts, and implements and maintains records for network security changes.
• Provides Support services for Microsoft Operating System as well as Application Support for Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Assist with other IT tasks and responsibilities as required.

Required Skills:

• Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent education is required.
• Minimum of 12-24 months (3-5 years preferred) of systems experience within a PC/LAN/AD environment.
• Knowledge of Windows server products including Windows Server 2016 and Active Directory is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows 10 and above, Office, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of Windows 10 deployment.
• Microsoft A+ Certified preferred.
• Microsoft Certification a plus.
• Good documentation, communication and interpersonal skills.

This is an on-site position that may be required to work overtime during peak production periods. This is a temporary, full-time position for approximately 6 months with the possibility of extension. Applications will be accepted until March 16, 2025.
