Quality Control / Weld Inspector
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
· Consideration will be given to CSA W178 CWB Level I, II or AWS CWI or College/University graduates in an Engineering or QC /QA related discipline or Hands-on Trades Experience related to the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical & Energy Industries' in manufacturing activities.
· Knowledge and experience with machining, fitting/welding, assembly and materials, or manufacturing pressure vessels and Heat exchangers are not required but are considered an asset.
· Knowledge or experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (GD&T) & blueprint reading.
· High level of proficiency with Microsoft office 365.
· Demonstrated ability in project planning/execution, including the development of processes/procedures and process improvements.
· Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
· Basic knowledge of non-destructive examination (NDE) techniques.
· Experience working with ASME BPV Code and Customer specifications for identification and traceability of materials, manufacturing processes, testing etc.
· Experience with preparation and controlling in process requirements of Quality and Manufacturing documents such as Inspection Test Plans (ITP's), Quality Control Inspection records and Manufacturing Documents records.
· Technical writing experience, including procedures & technical reports, would be considered an asset.
· Review of Material test Report for compliance to ASME and ASTM Standards
· Understanding how to maintain the design's configuration during manufacturing by Incorporating revisions and or Client review comments into Quality and Manufacturing documents.
· Tracking the status of all Quality Documents generated to ensure documents are up to date and reflect Project requirements.
· Experience with maintenance of Calibration program & Records, using software ensuring all MT&E is up to date
· Able to Liaison and coordinate Inspections with Authorized, client and third-party inspectors
· Build effective relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and user groups that reflect and support core company values.
· Knowledge of Reviewing and NDE Reports for accuracy to contract requirements
· Experience with reviewing completed Manufacturers Data Report (example: TSSA report or U1, U2, etc.)
· Able to perform all duties related to In-process and Final Quality inspections of fabricated Code items.
