Data Entry & Customer Service Assistant

Location: Croydon area

Permanent Full Time

Salary: £24,000 - £26,000

Office based

A fantastic opportunity working for our client to support their sales customer service, working as part of an international, people-oriented team. Full software and product training will be provided, but any previous experience using the Microsoft Office package and/or Sage 50 accounting system, or work experience in a customer service-oriented position is a bonus. Most importantly, you will be a team player with the drive and enthusiasm to thrive in a busy environment.

Responsibilities of the Data Entry & Customer Service Assistant:

  1. Data entry into spreadsheets
  2. Timely and accurately registering and processing customers’ orders via phone call, e-mails or text messages (what's app)
  3. Preparing internal picking requests and booking couriers collections
  4. Processing invoices on the company’s accounting system
  5. Meticulous filing of daily paperwork
  6. Supporting the sales and accounts team with ad-hoc administrative duties
  7. Delivering stellar phone support to both customers and our delivery teams
  8. Daily maintenance of data files and file organization
  9. Review and verify the accuracy of entered data

Personal specification for the role of Data Entry & Customer Service Assistant:

  1. Proven experience in a data entry or administrative role is preferred.
  2. Ability to answer customer questions confidently and accurately
  3. Accurate data entry with minimal errors
  4. Managing calls, emails, and inquiries simultaneously
  5. Familiarity with data entry tools like spreadsheets (such as Excel)
  6. Understanding customer needs and preferences by listening attentively
  7. Prioritizing tasks effectively to handle multiple customers
  8. Proficiency in using computerized systems and software applications, especially MS Office Pack.
