Casual, Part-Time, and Full-Time Opportunities Available!

Location: Cranbrook

Position: Specialized Caregivers

  • Wage: $433.59 - $439.81 per day; as per the collective agreement

Position: Specialized Caregiver Supports

  • Wage: starting at $27.54 per hour; as per the collective agreement
  • Hours: 8 - 40 hours per week, 8 and/or 12-hour shifts

Summary:

Axis Family Resources Ltd. is hiring Casual, Part-Time, and Full-Time Specialized Caregivers and Specialized Caregiver Supports to support Persons Served living in our Specialized Supportive Housing. Building and maintaining healthy relationships with our Persons Served through a trauma-informed practice is the core of our work. You will promote a positive and healthy environment that supports our persons served towards achieving educational, social, and recreational goals while focusing on daily life skills development. The Specialized Caregiver role is considered a “live-in” caregiver position. Typically, a full-time rotation follows a 3-day on, 3-day off shift model.

As a Specialized Caregiver and/or Specialized Caregiver Support Worker, you will be provided with in-depth training, a private secured staff room for sleep, and 24-hour support.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • A certificate or diploma in Community Services, Health Care Aid, Human Services, or other related discipline
  • Minimum 1- 2 years’ experience in social services, or a combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Related experience in working with vulnerable populations or behavioural challenges will also be considered an asset
  • Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver’s license
  • Knowledge of and the ability to work with complex trauma, Autism, FASD, ODD or other neurobiological conditions is beneficial
  • Clear Criminal Record Check (agency conducted, expenses covered)
  • Effective written and verbal communication
