THE OPPORTUNITY

Ambipar Response. is currently seeking an Emergency Response Manager based out of Fort. St John, British Columbia. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing strategic initiatives to expand Emergency Response service offerings, while overseeing the execution of projects within the BC region.

RESPONSIBILITIES AT HAND / WHAT YOUR DAYS WILL CONSIST OF

  • Enhancing and developing relationships with existing clients and expanding service offerings.
  • Manage budgets and cost-effectiveness within the scope of responsibility
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows
  • Stay updated on industry trends and compliance
  • Develop project scopes following company standards
  • Manage job creation, resource allocation, and project documentation.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and maintain accurate project records.
  • Train employees on emergency response and quality control protocols
  • Support marketing initiatives and ensure base-level presence during scheduled shifts
  • Collaborate with VP to generate revenue and manage project budgets
  • Provide weekly account projections and assist in final invoicing
  • Track and submit labor, equipment and material (LEM) data accurately
  • Oversee talent development, performance management and training.
  • Lead and motivate teams, fostering a healthy and productive work environment.
  • Handle recruitment, payroll and time-off management duties.
  • Enforce company health and safety policies.
  • Report safety incidents and participate in inspections.
  • Submit regular performance updates, financial reports, and incident reports.
  • Maintain detailed records of KPIs for quarterly reviews with VP.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Emergency Management, Hazmat Specialist, Industrial Firefighter, Rescue Specialist, Medical Specialist, or equivalent Industry experience.
  • Successful completion of all required safety training under local legislation.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive relevant experience in the emergency response industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience mentoring and managing teams effectively.
  • Successful completion of drug and alcohol tests as required by both legislation and clients.
  • Successful completion of annual physical fitness test.

  • Solid understanding of key business areas, including operations, Safety, HR, Finance, and Marketing.
  • Proficiency in time-management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Exceptional organizational skills with proven leadership capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build teamwork and foster collaboration.
  • Excellent decision-making skills and problem-solving skills, especially in high-pressure situations.

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
