Gardener

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening and take pride in their work.

This is an all-year-round role, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, from 7.30am - 4.30pm (including a one-hour break). Salary is competitive.

Responsibilities

• Mowing lawns, small and large areas, weeding, strimming, and pruning.
• Maintaining flower beds, pots, and planters.
• Cutting hedges and leaf clearance.
• Soil preparation and planting.
• Utilising hand tools and power tools effectively for various gardening tasks.
• Other ad-hoc tasks required for the upkeep and maintenance of the gardens.
• Marshal and assist with general tasks associated with School events.
• Assist with the set-up of facilities in support of School events.
• Drive the School minibus and other vehicles as requested.

Requirements

• Proven experience of grounds and garden maintenance.
• Previous experience of hard and soft landscaping (advantageous but not essential).
• Proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools effectively.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods.
• Flexible and willing to assist with a wide range of grounds and garden duties.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Full, clean driving licence D1 unrestricted or PSV licence.
• Ability to take direction and work with limited supervision.
• Be flexible to assist with occasional weekend and evening work as required in support of the School's calendar of events & activities.
