Job Description

Are you ready to kickstart your career in sales? We're excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Sales Development Trainee to join our dynamic team in Calgary, Canada. This full-time, entry-level position is designed to provide you with hands-on experience and comprehensive training in various aspects of our business operations.

As a Sales Development Trainee, you'll embark on an exciting journey through our multi-phase program, gaining invaluable knowledge and skills that will set the foundation for a successful career in sales and beyond. Our supportive and collaborative environment will nurture your growth as you progress through different departments and roles within our organization.

  • Participate in a comprehensive 5-phase training program covering various aspects of our business
  • Learn and apply warehouse logistics, including product knowledge and sales support
  • Engage in counter sales, customer service, and order management
  • Develop skills in inside sales, including quoting, sourcing, and order processing
  • Gain experience in outside sales and account management
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and vendors
  • Collaborate with team members across different departments
  • Adapt to various roles and responsibilities throughout the training program
  • Contribute to the achievement of sales targets and business goals
  • Continuously learn and apply new skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education preferred
  • Strong learning aptitude and enthusiasm for personal and professional growth
  • Positive attitude and results-oriented mindset
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with minimal supervision
  • Outstanding customer service, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Valid driver's license with a clean abstract
  • Sales background or interest in pursuing a career in sales preferred
  • Adaptability and willingness to work in various roles, including starting in a warehouse environment
  • Basic understanding of business operations and eagerness to learn more
  • Detail-oriented approach to work with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to meet targets and deadlines
  • Resilience and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
