Run all night audit programs and complete paperwork involved to reconcile daily hotel transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
Check in/check out guests in a friendly and professional manner ensuring accuracy of all information/billing and achieving standards.
Carry out all Front Desk and cashiering duties achieving accuracy and logical work sequence in accordance with the standards.
Be responsible for the security of cash and keys, following procedures.
Answer the switchboard in a friendly, courteous manner ensuring messages are recorded and promptly passed on in line with Hotel and Company Policy.
Be proficient in the taking of hotel reservations and "sell" from the top in order to maximize average room rate.
Be competent in the use of the computer in line with laid down procedures.
Liaise with the Housekeeper and Maintenance regarding the availability of rooms in order to contribute to the smooth running of the hotel and the satisfaction of our guests.
Ensure the Suite Shop is stocked and well presented with correct processing of all monies received in line with Hotel Policy.
Carry out guest business services (i.e. send faxes, photocopying etc.) as required by the guest ensuring correct charges for all business services.
Be alert to/respond to guest needs ensuring special requests are channeled through to the appropriate department.
Positively respond to guest queries and requests for information in line with Hotel Policy.
Ensure full completion of all duties relating to the shift and a concise handover in order to assist the smooth running of the hotel and guest satisfaction.
Be aware of procedures to follow in the event of an emergency in accordance with Hotel and Company Policy.
Must be available for weekends.
