Job description
Position Summary
The Maintenance Millwright is responsible for keeping all equipment running in good working order through preventative maintenance and repair.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for installing, inspecting, adjusting, and repairing equipment while following all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain all equipment to required standards and be responsive to production needs and equipment failures.
- Work as part of a team and independently while maintaining high levels of accuracy and safety while performing job duties.
- Perform daily inspections of equipment, filling out inspection sheets and making note of any items needing repair.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Assist electricians with machine repairs as required.
- Perform routine maintenance on building systems.
- Install new equipment as needed.
- Rebuild hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders.
- Fabricate various fixtures as required.
- Troubleshoot failed equipment.
- Replace various items such as blown fuses, hydraulic pumps, drive belts, saw blades, motor couplings, etc. as required.
- Use milling machines and lathes as required.
- Perform general welding repairs.
- Maintain a safe and clean workspace at all times.
- Responsible to follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all Can Art Company Policies.
Qualification Required
- Must have 433A Industrial Millwright license.
- Minimum 3 years of millwright experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Ability to install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment.
- Good knowledge of hydraulic circuits/diagnostics, and basic electrical knowledge.
- Read and interpret component drawings/blueprints.
- Proficient in welding.
- PLC experience is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft suites and Megamation program is an asset.
- Previous experience with metal processing, heavy stamping, or die casting equipment is an asset.

Working Conditions
- Plant Environment.
- Twelve hour rotating continental shift.
- Exposure to loud noise and heat.
- May be required to lift up to 50lbs.
- Overtime as needed.
Salary Range: $41.29/hr
