The Lead Assembler is responsible for overseeing a team of assemblers in the production process, ensuring that products are assembled efficiently and to high-quality standards. This role involves coordinating daily operations, training new team members, managing workflow, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during assembly. The Lead Assembler acts as a liaison between management and assembly staff, promoting a safe and productive work environment while monitoring performance and providing feedback.
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the assembly team to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Train new assemblers on assembly techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing constructive feedback and support.
Troubleshoot assembly issues; implement solutions to maintain production timelines.
Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing company safety policies and procedures.
Collaborate with management to report on production progress and suggest improvements.
Requirements
Strong understanding of assembly processes, tools, and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment and assembly issues.
Experience with software platforms such as Slack and Shipstation.
Bi-lingual English/Vietnamese.
High school diploma or equivalent, relevant vocational training a plus.
Proven experience in assembly or manufacturing, with a minimum of 2-5 years in a supervisory role preferred.
Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve lifting and standing for extended periods.
