Position Summary
NanoVation Therapeutics (NTx) is looking for a collaborative and detail-orientated Senior/Research Technician, Preclinical.
Reporting to the Scientist II, Preclinical, our Senior/Research Technician, Preclinical will be responsible for designing, executing, analyzing, and making recommendations on research protocols for our internal projects.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Preclinical Research
- Executes in vivo research in support of our research goals and plans; internal and external projects.
- Alone or in collaboration, designs and executes preclinical activities including SC, IP, IV, IM, CP and IVIS in support of pharmaceutical formulation, analytical development and characterization and performance testing of pharmaceutical formulations.
- Assists with downstream processing of in vivo samples for DNA, RNA and protein extraction for luminescence/fluorescence measurements, qPCR and other immunological assays as needed.
- Follows SOPs; generates and maintains thorough and accurate documentation.
- Generates, analyzes, and tabulates data and results; writes/reviews reports and makes recommendations.
- Meets established deadlines.
- Openly communicates challenges and proposes solutions.
- Additional responsibilities, as required.
Project Teamwork
- Supports project teamwork.
- Provides technical support to other project teams.
- Supports the planning and execution of internal project plans.
- Prepares study reports and technical presentations for internal use.
- Collaborates and interacts with other groups/departments in the organization on related projects to develop, characterize and test formulations, as requested.
Innovation
- Supports relevant scientific literature searches for designing new experiments.
- Supports the establishment of new capabilities based on supervisor input.
- Identifies novel research opportunities.
- Supports patent idea generation and writing.
Education & Experience Required:
- BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a Life Sciences discipline, and 2+ years of hands-on experience in a similar role.
- Applied knowledge and practical experience in a broad range of preclinical methodologies including use of nanoparticles in experimental in vivo systems, development of novel assays and methods to assess nanoparticle function, and assessment of nanoparticle efficacy and toxicity.
- Hands-on industry experience with in vivo techniques including SC, IP, IV, IM and IVS.
- Completion of UBC in vivo certifications, biosafety and chemical safety certificationswould be an asset
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and ability to prioritize.

What we offer:
