SUMMARY OF THE ROLEMammoet is currently looking for an energetic individual to join our Edmonton branch as a heavy-duty crane mechanic. This position requires a candidate with an excellent work ethic, ability to travel, and willingness to learn new things in a safe and efficient manner.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGResponsibilities (including but not limited to)
- Able to diagnose and/or determine technical problems
- Able to perform regular maintenance and inspections of all equipment within the department
- Must document all repairs and parts replacement for equipment files
- Be able to read, understand and follow hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical diagrams
- Mentor apprentices
- Conduct all business in a professional, respectful manner
- Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed
- Carry out all work in accordance with Mammoet HSE/SHE-Q and business policies and procedures, including the use of all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- Other duties as assigned by EMD supervision
WHAT YOU’LL NEEDExperience
- Must have sufficient training and experience in repairing of major European and domestic brands of mobile cranes in Mammoet’s fleet, primarily Liebherr, Tadano and Broderson.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Commercial Vehicle Inspection license
- Must be familiar with manufacturer diagnostic software an asset, willing to train
Education
- Journeyman trade certificate (Red Seal on Road preferred)
- Apprentices’ 2nd, 3rd and 4th year
- Minimum of 5 years work experience

This will be a full-time position operating out of our Edmonton, AB location on a full-time basis.

This position falls under the IUOE Local 955 agreement. All pension and benefits are through IUOE Local 955.
