Our manufacturing client in Gormley, ON area is looking for a Power Engineer for their facility.
Pay - $35 - $36 per hourr Shift - Days
Key Responsibilities:
Operate, maintain, and monitor high-pressure boilers, turbines, compressors, pumps, and other related equipment in compliance with safety standards.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and repairs on all plant machinery, including lubrication, calibration, and replacement of worn components.
Monitor control panels and meters, recording data on temperature, pressure, water levels, and fuel usage to ensure equipment is running efficiently.
Respond to equipment malfunctions or emergencies, troubleshooting and making necessary adjustments or repairs.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and operations activities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, and ensure the work environment complies with company and regulatory safety standards.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and recommend operational enhancements.
Collaborate with other engineers, maintenance technicians, and operational staff to maintain a seamless workflow and communication.
Assist in training and guiding junior operators and apprentices when necessary.
Qualifications:
Valid 3rd Class Power Engineer certification.
Minimum of3 to 4 years of experience in an industrial setting (e.g., power plants, chemical plants, manufacturing facilities).
Strong knowledge of boiler operation, refrigeration systems, and other related industrial equipment.
Familiarity with safety regulations, codes, and best practices (e.g., ASME, CSA).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other operational software is an asset.
