Overview
The primary responsibilities of this position are primarily working with concrete and reinforced steel for precast concrete structures. This is a demanding job that requires good physical condition and the ability to maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Concrete finishing experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Collecting materials, assembling cages, setting up casts, and pouring concrete
- Raking, tamping, and leveling poured concrete
- Cleaning and oiling concrete moulds
- Applying screed finish to concrete
- Transporting raw materials throughout the plant manually
- Removing rubble and other debris to maintain warehouse cleanliness
- Checking finished precast for damage and defects
- Assisting in minor concrete repairs
Qualifications
Education Required:
Years of Experience
- Less than 1 year to less than 2 years in construction or concrete industry
Specific Experience
- Perform repetitive, physical labour for long periods of time in a dusty, dirty, wet and muddy environment
- Maintain high levels of safety and be aware of surroundings
- Be very detail oriented
- Be able to work unsupervised and be self-motivated
- Self-starter with excellent work ethic
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong team player with a positive attitude

- Maintain high level of safety at all times
- Able to work in a fast-paced, high-production environment
- Willing to work overtime and shifts when needed including Saturdays
- Able to work unsupervised, motivated to complete all tasks

Compensation Offer
- Wage: $21 – $24/hour, based on experience
- Unionized, permanent, Full-time, 44 hours/week
