Compensation Range: $30.12 - $35.25/hour

Position Summary:
School Based Rehabilitation Services (SBRS) provides occupational therapy, speech therapy and physiotherapy to students in publicly funded schools from kindergarten to school exit. SBRS clinicians consult with the school team to enable student participation in the school curriculum and school based activities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide individual and group therapy for students who present with speech, voice, or fluency disorders under the direction of the SBRS SLP.
2. Work collaboratively with the SBRS SLP and school team to determine a service delivery plan for each student.
3. In collaboration with the SBRS SLP, manage an assigned case load and contribute to the quality of care to clients.
4. Document care.
5. Liaise with the SBRS SLP, school team and parents to book appointments.
6. Maintain regular contact with client families and keep them informed of treatment plans.

Qualifications:

1. Communicative Disorders Assistant Diploma or equivalent;
2. Clinical experience working with school aged students with a wide range of speech difficulties;
3. Minimum two years of clinical experience working with school age students preferred;
4. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal;
5. Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team setting;
6. Bilingualism in French and English is an asset;
7. Current C.P.R. and First Aid is required or must be completed prior to August start date;
8. Travel is a requirement for these roles;
9. Must possess a valid Ontario driver’s license and have access to a personal vehicle.
