Senior Manager, Cross Border Personal Tax

As a Senior Manager, Cross Border Personal Tax your responsibilities will include:

1. Managing and coordinating global tax compliance services for Canadian and multinational clients
2. Working closely with Grant Thornton International (GTI) member firms to deliver global tax solutions
3. Supervising and reviewing work of junior team members
4. Coaching junior Cross Border Personal Tax team members
5. Develop and present internal tax training courses
6. Proactively working with the team to develop tax advice and solutions to clients and prospective clients to expand our business
7. Contributing to Doane Grant Thornton's business development and branding strategies
8. Being part of a leadership team who meets with and presents to current and prospective clients on Canadian and global tax matters
9. Actively lead, participate in or contribute to the Southern Ontario professional services community

1. Commitment to exceptional client service
2. Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to be an active participant in the development of the Global Mobility Tax team
3. Demonstrated desire for technical and professional development and to be an integral part of a high-performing team of professionals
4. Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to listen effectively and understand clients' needs
5. Appropriate relevant accounting designation
6. 3-4 years' US Tax experience including at least 6 years in public practice. Canadian tax experience is required.
7. Masters of Taxation (US), a US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or an Enrolled Agent (EA) considered an asset
