Janitor/Maintenance

If you have an eye for detail and take pride in your work, we want you! Join us as a Building Caretaker to keep our condo clean, safe, and well-maintained inside and out. Your job tasks will include cleaning, building maintenance, and administrative duties. This is a great opportunity for a savvy individual who is hard-working and wants to take full ownership of their role.

Job Duties

• Perform daily inspections of common areas (interior and exterior)
• Clean common areas (vacuuming, mopping, glass surfaces, stainless steel, garbage rooms, bins)
• Fix minor issues (e.g., burnt-out lamps, minor drywall repairs, painting touch-ups)
• Adjust heating and cooling systems for comfort
• Monitor building systems panel and reset when necessary
• Maintain a Building Caretaker's Manual
• Manage fob access and maintain a log of issued fobs
• Update the Enterphone directory as needed
• Maintain Residents' Bulletin Boards
• Assist in emergencies (e.g., water leaks) to prevent damage to other units

Qualifications

• At least two years experience in commercial janitorial work
• Experience with minor repairs (e.g., painting, drywall repair, changing light bulbs); preference given to those with mechanical experience
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Excellent organization and record-keeping skills
• Physical fitness and the ability to be on your feet for most of the day, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds

About the Job

• Pay starts at $25.00 per hour
• Hours are 8:00 to 16:00 at a downtown condo building
• Annual Healthcare Spending Account of $1,500 after 90 days
