Job Description

As a Resident Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting program service delivery and for the safety and security of Northside Common Ministries residents.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Perform initial intake duties including the orientation of new residents to the program and/or by facilitating workshops.
  • Assist with residents' social and life skills development individually or in groups including, but not limited to, laundry, personal hygiene, food shopping, meal preparation, and other such activities as assigned and needed to fulfill program goals and resident outcomes.
  • Ensure cleanliness and general maintenance of the facility, reporting any issues to the designated staff.

External Hiring Range: $15.75 up to 16.69/hour

Retention Bonus: $500.00 after successfully completing 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • 1 year experience with diverse populations; knowledge of homeless shelter operation and/or social services preferred.

Must have some experience with facilitation of workshops and service referrals.

REQUIRED CLEARANCES, LICENSES, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates are expected to provide current valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) prior to the first day of employment.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certifications required within the first 90 days of employment.
