Forklift Operator - Counter Balance

Location: Cambridge, ON

Our transportation customer, who operates a bustling cross-dock warehouse, is seeking forklift candidates for their fast-paced environment. They offer a great environment and opportunity for long-term career progression.

Due to schedule requirements/demands, this role is not suitable for students.

Wage: $21.00

Shift: Days 8:00am - 4:30pm

Shifts available: Monday to Friday

Job Duties:

1. Safely operate Toyota Counterbalance forklift to load and unload trucks
2. Cross docking facility operations
3. Go outside to the loading dock to open and close doors for various trucks
4. Picking, recording, and organizing incoming and outgoing shipments
5. Perform general and physical duties as needed to fulfill production needs
6. Complete paperwork and data entry as required
7. Conduct inventory counting

Requirements:

1. Previous forklift experience of 1-2 years mandatory
2. Cross docking experience is an asset
3. Willing to perform a forklift evaluation
4. Willing to provide a criminal background check
5. Ability to lift up to 40lbs, stand and walk throughout the facility
6. Ability to read, write, and communicate proficiently in English

1. Reliable transportation required
2. Not bus accessible - applicants must have their own personal vehicle
