Photonic Engineering Intern Winter 2025

Acting as a coop / intern in photonic engineering, you will be involved in the making of instrument setup, configuring such instruments, acquiring data and analysing data.

Part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will have to collaborate with scientists and other disciplines of engineering on a regular basis. This position requires autonomy, adaptability and a strong desire for innovation and problem-solving skills.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide support in measurements
• Data analysis using Matlab
• Review documentation
• Research literature on leading edge topics
• Write brief reports

Required qualifications

• Currently enrolled in electrical / physics engineering degree or physics degree
• Knowledge of Matlab is a plus
• Basic knowledge of optic theory and integrated optics
• Basic knowledge of radio-frequency principles
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Excellent mastery of French and/or English both written and oral

Compensation and Benefits (Students)

The pay range for this position is $24.50-$33.00 / hour
