The Ministry of Trade and Export Development (TED) is offering an exciting opportunity to join the team responsible for the operations of the Government of Saskatchewan’s international office network. As a key member of the International Offices Branch, you will join a team dedicated to advancing Saskatchewan’s growth objectives on the global stage.

The International Operations Unit is seeking a highly motivated multitasker to be the International Operations Specialist, providing support to Saskatchewan’s network of international offices and headquarters in Saskatchewan.

Reporting to the Director of International Operations, the International Operations Specialist will support Saskatchewan’s international office network with responsibility for operational components of the International Engagement Branch including:

  1. Preparation, management and administration of budget and expense forecasts.
  2. Approval and reconciliation of expenses for Saskatchewan’s international office network.
  3. Pre-deployment preparation for Saskatchewan’s staff deployed abroad.
  4. Preparing written correspondence and updating briefing materials.
  5. Acting as liaison for international locally engaged staff.
  6. Contributing to branch reporting and metrics using Ministry systems.
  7. Management of intergovernmental processes including financial transactions and human resource responsibilities.
  8. Management of information technology requirements for international office locations.

To be successful in this position, you will:

  1. Have knowledge of government financial management and budgetary principles and government decision-making processes.
  2. Be a strong communicator, capable of communicating effectively with a variety of people both written and verbally.
  3. Be capable of managing multiple competing priorities.
  4. Be adept at managing change.

Typically, to qualify for this position you will possess a degree or a combination of education and experience related to the duties outlined above.

This position may require travel within Saskatchewan. To support the needs of our partners around the world, the position requires the ability to work outside of regular office hours.
