Machine/Forklift Operator - Woodstock, ON

Permacon, a CRH Company, is a leader and pioneer in the manufacturing of concrete masonry and landscaping products. Permacon is a division of Oldcastle APG and operates 9 plants in Ontario and Quebec.

We are currently looking for Forklift Operators at our Woodstock Plant. The forklift Operators must be available to work in the yard and/or in the tumble room.

They also need to be available on dayshift and afternoon shift, Monday to Friday.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, sort, check, move, wrap, package, store and/or pile different products, material, raw material (pallets, skids, plates, blocks, paves).
• Perform yard and plant clean-up and plant housekeeping. Employee must keep his work area clean.
• Participate in production as requested.
• Participate in preventive maintenance of equipment or products change as requested.
• Communicate to competent persons any quality, abnormalities or faulty situations in regards to the product, batch, quality, machine, equipment, workplace or other.
• Work as a team.
• Wear safety personal protective equipment as required for this position, work safely and observe all safety procedures such as lockout procedure, etc.
• Learn basic machine function.
• Perform all other related tasks requested by his superior.

Qualifications And Requirements:

• High school diploma.
• Forklift Licence.
• Teamwork oriented, initiative; responsible, able to react, to be precise; methodical.
• Organized, must be able to work with established procedures, guidelines, people and under immediate supervision.
• Must be able to learn quickly and have the capacity to safely physically handle weight up to 20kg.
• Must have judgement and communication aptitude.
• Must be able to react efficiently and to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Must have an excellent attendance record.
